Hi, my name is Juan Noyola and I grew up and still reside in Cherokee, Alabama. I am 24 years old and am currently unemployed due to the economic times. I have been married for 3 years and have a precious son, Ayden. I love to spend time with my family. I am very outgoing and love meeting new people. I love football, playing golf, basketball, and hanging with friends and family.
Here is Juan's blog post:
I feel that I am qualified beyond for Young and Free Alabama. I have experienced the hard times that a young person can experience. I feel that I could be a great spokesperson for the young, and leading them into the right finacial decision they need to make by telling my story.
I had a great job at the age of 20 and on my way to financial security. If I knew what I know now about credit cards, new cars, personal loans, and no savings I would have been able to provide for my family when the economic times hit.
While I was employed at the age of 20, I was making great money. I made the decision that most 20 year olds make when they are making that kind of money. I got married and we were living the life. We both had new cars, we bought a house, and we went on trips all the time. We did not save any of our money, we spent like there was no tomorrow, and we had numerous credit cards that we did not pay off every month. I thought that I would always have a great job to depend on. We decided to start our family in 2008. My wife was 6 months pregnant when I unexpedectly lost my job. All of the things that we could afford we no longer could afford, but we still had the bills. I have had several jobs throughout last year and this year, but with the economic times I am currently unemployedd again. I would love for my mistakes to help some other young person not to make the mistakes that can haunt you for years.
I do not have a college degree, and I am not pursing a college degree, but I feel that personal experience is just as important when dealing with finances. I feel that I have an advatage by being fluent in English and Spanish. That is why I think I am qualified for the Young and Free Alabama. Please go and vote for me at youngandfreealabama.com.
